Where can I use dropo?
dropo currently aims its marketplace exclusively at Switzerland.
The platform uses Swiss francs only.
All payments through dropo run in CHF.

dropo runs in the browser and can be added to your phone’s home screen.
After that dropo opens much like an app, without the usual browser address bar.
On iPhone this works via the share icon and “Add to Home Screen”.

What do others see of me?
Your legal first and last name are not shown publicly on your profile.
On public surfaces, others instead see the profile data intended for that, for example username, avatar and rating.
Many further details are under your own control.
There are 13 switches for this, one each for:
- avatar,
- bio,
- location,
- languages,
- sales,
How do ratings work?
After a purchase is completed, the buyer rates the seller.
The ratings are then shown publicly on the profile.
What are strikes and what does reliability mean?
Strikes and reliability are two separate systems.
A strike arises from certain breaches of duty.
At present these include in particular:
- not paying for an order that was won or otherwise created,
- not fulfilling a paid order as a seller.
At 3 strikes the account is restricted for a month.
During that block, new items of the following kinds are not possible:
- bids,
- purchases,
Someone is behaving badly. What can I do?
You can report and block.
Reporting works for listings, posts, stories, users and entire chats. On a profile and in the chat you'll find the three dots with “Report user” or “Report chat”. Pick the reason and briefly say what happened. We look at every report. The other person is not told.
Blocking cuts the contact: no messages, no following, no comments or likes, in both directions. How to do it is under “How do I block someone?”.
For anything else, reach us at meldung@dropo.ch.
How do I block someone?
On the person’s profile or in the chat: three dots, “Block user”, confirm.
After that the person can no longer message you, follow you, or comment on or like your posts. It works in both directions. You no longer see their listings, posts, stories and comments, and they no longer see yours. The person is not told.
An order in progress continues, including its chat, until it is completed.
To unblock, use the three dots in the chat or Settings → Privacy & blocked users; the person's profile is hidden after blocking.
Can I appeal against a decision?
Yes.
Against certain automatic decisions — for example chat blocks, video or post blocks, strikes, account blocks or subscription caps — you can request a new review.
For such automated decisions you can ask for a review by a human being.
For a blocked listing or video and for a subscription cap, the link in the notification takes you straight to the appeal. In all other cases you will find the form at dropo.ch/einspruch.
How do I change my notifications?
In the settings.
There are 67 different kinds of notification.
Each of them can be controlled or switched off individually.
Notifications can be delivered through several channels:
- the bell inside dropo,
- email,
- push.
Certain moderation messages are excepted.
They are delivered regardless of the normal notification settings.
How do I delete my account?
In the settings.
After the deletion request your account is locked and can be reactivated for 30 days: if you sign in again during that time, the deletion is cancelled.
After that your profile data and files are deleted and the account is anonymised; a neutral ID replaces your username.
Ratings, bids, offers, orders and chat histories remain under that ID, and records such as orders and payments for the statutory retention period.
We answer data protection questions at datenschutz@dropo.ch.
Which languages is dropo available in?
In six languages:
- German,
- French,
- Italian,
- English,
- Albanian,
- Brazilian Portuguese.
Everything that belongs to the platform itself is translated:

My listing was blocked — what now?
When we block a listing you get a notification — and it always states a reason. A listing does not disappear here without a word.
What gets blocked is what breaks our rules or the law. The listing is then no longer visible and cannot be reactivated.
Nothing is deleted in the process: orders, bids and messages attached to it remain.
We do not block during a running bidding phase. There are real bids there, and breaking off mid-way would leave every bidder without an explanation.
If you think the block is wrong, you can appeal. A human being then looks at the case again — regardless of who or what triggered the decision.
You will find the way to do so directly through the link in the notification.
